Public reporting on key labour standards and conditions in the garment industry has seen significant improvement in labour standards compliance in important areas, according a new report released today.
On May 18th 2018, the Project Advisory Committee (PAC) of the ILO Better Factories Cambodia Programme met in Phnom Penh to provide input into the draft conclusions and recommendations of BFC’s independent mid-term evaluation.
Balancing paid work and family care is a major challenge for women workers in Cambodia’s garment sector but investing in practical solutions to enhance gender equality is good for business as well as for workers, their families and their communities.
